HOW TO MEASURE YOUR WIG SIZE
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Choosing the right wig size makes a huge difference! It looks and feels comfortable!
To get the right cap size make sure to measure by the circumference around the head. Most of the time, you only need the circumference measurement of your head to get an accurate indication of your capsize. However, if your recommended size did not meet your expectations or you are looking for a custom wig, you may also need to take your ear-to-ear and front-to-back measurements as well. The GLH Foundation offers Child, Petite, Petite/Average, Average, Average/Large, and Large-cap size wigs.

All these are very important measurements to get the best fitting wig! Remember the more accurate the measurements are the more comfortable the wig will be :)
HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE
The most popular way to measure is the head circumference. Here is the step-by-step on how to measure it, you can even get someone to help you get your measurements more accurately:

Step 1: Start measuring at the center of your forehead. Make sure to properly pull the tape measure all the way at the back of your head (behind the first ear) until it reaches the nape of the neck.

Step 2: Next pull it all the way around the nape of your neck all the way to your behind the other ear.
​
Step 3: Bring the tape all the way back to the forehead (the starting point).

Step 4: Record your measurements!
FRONT OF THE HAIR TO
THE BACK
Step 1: Start measuring from the hairline in the middle of your forehead.

Step 2: Pull the tape over the crown of your head all the way down to the back of your head. Bring the tape all the way down until you reach the nape of your neck all the way to the base of your hairline.

Step 3: Record your measurements!
TIP: If you have complete hair loss, place four fingers over the brow bone to locate the natural hairline.
EAR TO EAR
Step 1: Start measuring from the top of your ear and bring the tape around the back of your head.

Step 2: Pull the tape around the back of your head right above your other ear.
​
Step 3: Record your measurements!

Step 4: Make sure the tape level doesn't slip! If you need help have them hold the measuring tape in place!
